These (GRP) Corten steel facade was a project of a university to calculate the deflection of individual
Corten steel plates . The aim was to turn to modules with 12 plates so that the entire facade area receives an irregular waveform. The connections of a module must of course always go with the closest facade module. The base material, glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP), was the variety "iron" coated and rust, then artificially. This results in a
Corten steel surface . The advantage is the low weight, flexibility and there is no chance that the material could rust through. The surface of the GRP panel is now magnetic. This means you can create with this coating with metal and magnetic walls.
If it is desired, the Corten steel surface are also waxed. The rust color is somewhat darker and the rust comes off not.
We not only coated Corten steel surfaces, but also objects of genuine Corten steel, such as planters, Glienicker Band (Wegbegrenzungsband) or signs.
